Heavy or Prolonged Bleeding

Periods lasts more than 5 to 6 days or using more than 3 pads in a day or losing more clots is called Heavy Period ( menorrhagia). This can lead to fatigue ,anemia and other health condition. Possible solutions include:

  •  You can use hormonal birth control methods such as the pill, patch, or intrauterine device (IUD) to control and reduce bleeding.

  • Incorporating iron-rich foods in the diet or taking iron supplements to prevent anemia.

  • Home Remedies      

               1. Apple Cider Vinegar treats heavy bleeding, cramping , headache and  also prevent fatigue.
               2. Hydrate: Heavy bleeding leads to a decrease in blood volume so drink an additional 5 to 7 cups of water per day. Add electrolytes to water to compensate for the extra fluids you're taking in.

                3. Cold compresses :Applying cold compresses to the lower abdomen causes the blood vessels rigid and the blood flow decreases.
                  
                 4. Cinnamon tea, Ginger water: Both prevent excessive blood loss during periods. Ginger is preferred home remedy for heavy bleeding in raw form or ginger tea.

                 5. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: Excessive consumption of caffeine and alcohol  leads to heavy menstrual flow . Try to avoid and limit of take intake caffeine  1to 2 cup.


Painful Cramps

Menstrual cramps, or dysmenorrhea, are a common issue that can cause significant discomfort. Potential solutions include:

  • You can take over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or naproxen to alleviate cramps.
  • Applying heat to the lower abdomen through a heating pad or warm water bottle will also help in reducing pain.
  • Regular exercise and relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation will also held to reduce pain.

Irregular Periods

Irregular menstrual means variations in cycle length, timing, or missed periods, can be frustrating. 

Extreme weight loss or  gain, disordered eating, lack of sleep, stress, excessive exercise and dietary changes can also affect the regular functioning of the body and cause menstrual irregularities. Hormone imbalances can also cause irregular periods. 

 Solutions may involve:

  • Lifestyle changes, including stress reduction techniques and maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Hormonal contraceptives to regulate periods and promote regularity.
